The PG Diploma in Asset & Wealth Management is a postgraduate degree programme issued by the CPTEC University, Lomé. Jointly developed by the Davids Graduate School of Finance (DGSF) and CPTEC Business School the programme was launched to cater to the growing demand for highly-trained expertise in the asset and wealth management sectors. This programme is designed to groom future-ready asset and wealth management professionals. Supported by DGSF’s deep industry links and domain expertise in practice-based asset and wealth management education, presents a leading-edge curriculum that stays relevant to current and future industry.

Why is the CPTEC in PG Diploma in Asset & Wealth Management an important course and programme for the future of the Financial Markets & Wealth management Industry? The wealth management industry is in the midst of significant change with a new generation of investors with different expectations and preferences that have been shaped by new technologies and living through the last financial crisis, has brought new standards to the industry in terms of how advice and investment products are being delivered. A challenging investment environment, characterized by increased levels of uncertainty and rising costs of risk, is making it harder for advisors to generate superior investment performance for their clients. Shifting demographics with the aging of advisors and an upcoming transfer of wealth from baby boomers to their children will upset many established advisor/client relationships and create opportunities for new firms to grow market share.

And finally, increasing regulatory burdens, new business models and new competitive patterns all come together to further compound the level of disruption in the AWM industry. Handling all these requires a modern thinking and highly trained professionals, which CPTEC and its joint partners are offering an opportunity to retool their skills in the management of the future challenges facing the industry.
